Why do I get "Cannot read file ?? since > 2.0GB" in stderr when using the file/directory selection dialog?

The file info was read to populate the file list in the dialog. The error is because files larger than 2 GB cannot be read properly by the 32 bit stat() function. This is not an easy fix. Since the software doesn't need to use files that large this error will be a known issue. The error is harmless.
